Terms of Service
The simple rules for writing, publishing, and reading on Crosswalk.
Effective October 5, 2026
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of Crosswalk at crosswalk.markdoesany.online. By using Crosswalk, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
“Crosswalk,” “we,” and “us” mean the operator of the service. Questions about these Terms can be sent to markcernal21@gmail.com.
Your account
You may need to sign in with Google to create and manage books. You are responsible for keeping control of your Google account, for the activity performed through your Crosswalk account, and for providing information that is accurate enough to operate the service. You may not impersonate another person or create an account through deceptive means.
You must be legally able to agree to these Terms. If you are under the age required to enter a binding agreement where you live, use Crosswalk only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.
Your content
You retain your rights in the books, writing, images, and other content you submit. You represent that you own or have permission to use the content you upload and that publishing it will not violate another person's rights or the law.
You give Crosswalk a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and deliver your content only as needed to provide the features you request. When you make a book public or unlisted, you also authorize Crosswalk to make it available according to that visibility setting. This license ends when the content is removed, except for limited copies retained for backups, security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
Publishing and public content
Private books are for your account. Unlisted books are reachable by people who have the link. Public books may be listed on Explore and read by anyone. You are responsible for choosing the correct visibility setting and for the content and metadata of anything you publish.
Public content may be reported by readers. Crosswalk may review, limit, unlist, suspend, or remove content that violates these Terms, creates a safety or legal concern, or is reported for review. We may also suspend or terminate accounts involved in abuse or repeated violations.
Acceptable use
You may not use Crosswalk to break the law, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, harass or threaten people, distribute malware, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, evade moderation, submit spam, or publish content that is abusive, exploitative, or otherwise prohibited by applicable law.
Third-party services
Crosswalk relies on third-party services including Google sign-in, Vercel hosting and storage, and Neon database hosting. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies, and their availability may affect Crosswalk. Crosswalk does not control third-party services.
Availability and disclaimers
Crosswalk is provided on an “as available” basis. We work to keep the service useful and reliable, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will never be lost. Keep copies of important writing. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Crosswalk and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, profits, or access arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Termination
You may stop using Crosswalk at any time. We may suspend or end access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address abuse, or enforce these Terms. Sections concerning content rights, acceptable use, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and any provisions that should reasonably survive termination will continue to apply.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory rights or remedies available to you, disputes relating to Crosswalk will be brought before the courts of the Philippines.
Changes
We may update these Terms as Crosswalk changes. We will update the effective date when we do. Your continued use of Crosswalk after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
